Chaleo Yoovidhya or Chaliao Yuwitthaya (Thai: เฉลียว อยู่วิทยา) (born circa 1932) is a Thai Chinese businessperson and is listed as the richest person in Thailand, with an estimated net worth of $4 billion. He owns 49% of Red Bull, his son named Chalerm Yoovidhya owns 2%. The remaining 49% is owned by Dietrich Mateschitz who launched the Red Bull energy drink worldwide. Dietrich Mateschitz joined forces with Yoovidhya in 1982. Yoovidhya provided the formula and Mateschitz showed it to the world and both have become Billionaires as a result.
Yoovidhya also owns TC Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of energy drinks in Thailand, and is part owner of Piyavate Hospital, a private hospital in Thailand.[1][2]
